Boyle Excavating Inc. has preformed many fuel tank
removals and environmental spill cleanups, and has working closely with the New
York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
| Many older homes have under ground fuel oil
storage tanks for their furnace, which may be leaking, and you don’t even
know it. Picture #1 shows a 1000-gallon under ground fuel oil tank that was
discovered when the owner decided to drill a new well. |

Picture #2 shows the tank after removal. |

Picture #3 shows the rusted holes in the tank causing fuel oil to leak from the tank. |

The owner of the next gas tank thought that someone was steeling the gas but in fact the gas was leaking into the ground.
Picture #1 is of the fill line that was rusted off from the top of the tank. (You can see a piece of the tank still attached to the fill piping that matched the hole in the top of the tank). |

Picture #2 is of the tank and the hole where the fill piping should be. |
